We present to you the logo for GPC European Championships 2024 in Trutnov. You might ask why a knight. The character of the knight is based on the legend about the founding of the town of Trutnov.

This rumor tells, that once people founded the town of Trutnov, needed a lot of wood. Therefore, two woodcutters went into the woods near Trutnov. Raven flew there, according to which woodcutters discovered that something was happening in the woods. They saw the dragon and ran back to the city. Woodcutters sent a message to knight Trut. Knight Trut went to the cave and killed the terrible dragon. In his honor, the city of Trutnov named him.

A fairy tale about the foundation of Trutnov, about the fighting of knight Trut with the dragon, found its artistic representation in the city emblem. Dragon and raven are displayed in the coat of arms of the city, but the knight did not make it into the coat of arms. So we dedicated space to him on our GPC Europeans logo.
